Adesina Cooper

Adesina is a sculptural artist and art practitioner based in Los Angeles, specializing in figure sculpting and storytelling. With 15 years of experience, she combines her education in psychology with her ceramic expertise to create a unique approach that helps communities explore their emotions and experiences through therapeutic sculpting. As an art practitioner, Adesina uses sculpting as a tool to help individuals navigate their emotional landscapes. In her therapeutic work, clay serves as a means of self-expression—offering a space for connection and personal growth.

For Adesina, clay sculpture is a metaphor for the human experience: unpredictable, full of potential for transformation. It’s kinetic and tactile—a true conversation between the artist and the medium. Sculpting allows for control over a narrative, providing the opportunity to tell a story or change its course. Yet, clay itself offers resistance, sometimes breaking or cracking in unexpected ways—reflecting how we, too, are shaped by our struggles and triumphs. The process encourages self-reflection while also inviting surrender—acknowledging that not everything can be controlled, but every mark, every crack, becomes a part of a larger story.d in meditation and dialogue facilitation, as well as yoga instruction.
