Creative Wellbeing: Recovering from Burnout Through Art & Connection
We are honored to co-lead our first Creative Wellbeing Learning Community Gathering of the year, in partnership with AHJN (Arts for Healing and Justice Network), the LA County Department of Arts and Culture, and the Fostering Dreams Project.
This session centers on how creative expression can help us recover from burnout, reconnect with purpose, and reimagine community care. Together, we’ll explore how to connect with young people through art as a way to express feelings, practice emotional regulation, and strengthen trust. Through gentle artmaking, mindfulness, and guided dialogue, we’ll highlight pause as a practice—a simple yet profound way to restore energy and stay grounded in the work we do.
At Upward Together, we believe that when we slow down and create together, we heal together.
Creative Wellbeing is a strategic collaboration between the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, Office of Child Protection, Department of Mental Health, Department of Children and Family Services, Department of Justice, Care and Opportunities, and the Arts for Healing and Justice Network as part of the LA County Arts Education Collective to advance the goals of Arts for All Children, Youth, & Families: Los Angeles County’s New Regional Blueprint for Arts Education.
