Inside the Calm Class Pilot: What We’re Seeing in Classrooms

Over four weeks, Calm Class was piloted in elementary classrooms to explore how short, structured practices could support regulation in real time.

Teachers used Calm Class 1–4 times per week, often during transitions and high-energy moments. What stood out wasn’t just consistency—it was how easily it fit into the rhythm of the day.

Teachers shared that they felt more grounded and prepared, especially at the start of class. Students responded quickly, engaging with drawing and reflection-based activities and gradually beginning to associate these moments with calm.

One thing became clear: regulation starts with the teacher. When educators model it, students follow.

Calm Class offers a simple, daily way to support focus, smoother transitions, and a more settled classroom environment.

We are currently piloting Calm Class in high school classrooms and look forward to gathering insights in the coming weeks.

This pilot is an early step toward bringing Calm Class into more classrooms and school communities.
