Clayground in Long Beach: Sculpting Stillness, One Flower at a Time

This week in Long Beach, we hosted a special edition of Clayground, a hands-on creative calm session where participants sculpted their own bouquets of clay flowers—a ritual of slowness, presence, and personal symbolism.

Held in a cozy, art-filled space, the workshop brought together a small circle of community members for an afternoon of mindful making. Using hand-building techniques, rolling pins, and clay tools, each person created their own interpretation of a floral offering—from blooming roses to abstract vines and petal textures that spoke their own quiet language.

✨ Why flowers?

Because sculpting a bouquet allows us to honor the beauty of what’s blooming—internally and externally. It’s not about perfection, but about presence. As one participant put it, “This felt like holding peace in my hands.”

The room was filled with laughter, focused silence, and that grounding feeling of clay between fingers—a reminder that creativity isn’t about output, but about connection.

🌀 Clayground is more than a workshop. It’s a return to the body, a break from the noise, and a way to process feelings through form.

We’re deeply grateful for those who joined us in Long Beach and brought their stories to life through sculpture.
